Beates black box

Beates Black Box Beates Black Box is a gallery I run in my studio at the Tromsø Academy of Contemporary art. In september 2016 BBB moved into the basement of Tromsø Kunstforening. The Box was build as a stage for my piece “He dumped me for another…” and after that exhibition was over I decided to use in a new way. My idea is to host one exhibition in BBB every week, mostly on fridays, so far it has been 51 exhibitions since the start 5 september 2014. The exhibitions is open for one night only and the artists has been students and teachers but also professional artists from both the Tromsø area as well as all around Scandinavia. This is a project that really engages me, it is inspiring to see how the artists is working with the Box and the social environment that is created during the openings with discussions and conversations is very exciting.
